Common Questions

Have a question you’d like to ask? I’m committed to giving clients the best care possible. When it comes to mental health, there’s no such thing as a bad question. Please review the questions and answers below, and don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have any additional questions.

What are your rates?

My cash rate is $100. I will offer a limited sliding scale for clients who meet certain criteria.  Fees are payable prior to the session.

How long does each therapy session take?

An initial session can last 60-90 minutes. In that session, patients share a great deal of information and I can create a plan of action to help you reach your goals. A general session will last about 45-55 minutes.

Do you accept insurance?

I accept Ambetter, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Magellan, Medicare, ComPsych, Cigna, and United Health Care. For other insurance providers where I am out of network, I will supply you with a “superbill”. You can request reimbursement directly from your insurance company.

Are you an EAP Provider?

I am on a few Employee Assistance Plan (EAP) panels including New Directions (Blue Cross Blue Shield), CompPsych, and Magellan.  If you contact your EAP service provider, you can get free counseling services authorized.

Do you offer evaluations for DOT employees?

Yes, I am qualified as a Substance Abuse Professional (SAP). I complete the initial and follow up evaluation for DOT employees who have tested positive on a drug screen. The evaluation includes recommendations for education or treatment and the follow-up drug/alcohol screens.
