Licensed Professionals to Guide You
Life can be difficult. Speaking with a professional psychotherapist can help. As your therapist, we care about your well-being, provide all the tools you need to seize the day, and teach you how to tackle even the most traumatic circumstances.

We are not the kind of therapists who simply ask, “How do you feel about that?” We will tell you what we hear, and what your body language/facial expressions say. Based on this, we can help you reach insights. We also give you the education and resources we think will be helpful. Often we ask you to try some techniques to see if making small changes can help.
"You are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem and smarter than you think."
A.A. Milne
About Donna
1
I graduated from Syracuse University and have been a therapist for over 30 years. I started Global Therapy, my private practice in 2001 in Tampa, Florida. Since then, I have moved a few times but settled in Northwest Arkansas. I have worked in agency outpatient counseling centers in New York, Maine, and Florida and I’m licensed in AR, FL, ID, and MO as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).

During my career, I have always provided face-to-face therapy. Over the years i have included telehealth as a modality. Currently I provide face to-face and telehealth in our Bentonville office. For clients in FL, ID and MO I can be reached via a HIPAA compliant telehealth platform.

I work with individuals who are depressed, anxious, deal with addictions both substance or behavioral in their families or relationships. I also help individuals work through, survive and thrive after childhood and adult trauma. I have used among other tools EMDR to help individuals gain a freedom from the past. I am also qualified as a Substance Abuse Professional (SAP). I provide evaluations for DOT, substance impaired employees.

My philosophy is that you are your own best expert. You know when something is not right and how you would like things to change. Emotionally, you want help getting from where you are now to where you want to be.That’s where I come in. As a therapist, I can help you navigate from what is not working to what helps you find happiness, peace, and comfort.

About Stephanie

"Happiness doesn't always come to us the way we imagine it will." French Proverb
My approach to therapy is the way a reporter looks at a story. Why do our brains store traumatic memories the way that they do? How do we fix it? Where does depression come from? What is the purpose of anxiety? And I look for the answers inside myself and in science. I help my clients do the same. I have training in Trauma Focused and traditional Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, the neurological effects of trauma, and Bilateral Stimulation (EMDR). I am passionate about working with people from diverse populations and comfortable working with, LGBTQIA+, alternate cultures, and diverse belief systems.

I always knew I wanted to help people but for the longest time, I did not know how. I worked full-time in technical support at the University of Arkansas Fayetteville while completing a BA in French Literature, feeling lost, thinking I might teach, and observing those around me. That was where I learned how rewarding it can be to accompany people through their life's challenges. I spent a lot of time with international students and other campus communities and helped a lot of people find lost documents and print papers. I learned that so often just listening while someone sorted their thoughts was the kindest thing I could do and helped as much, if not more, than helping them resolve their technical issues. I went on to complete my Bachelor's in Social Work in what felt like record time. By the time I moved to Little Rock to get my Master's of Social work I knew I wanted to work with individuals and was fortunate to have the opportunity to specialize in individual and group practice, with a focus on Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Human Sexuality. I interned with Baptist Behavioral in their psychiatric ICU and with UAMS STRIVE, one of the first school-based practices in the state. Since then I have continued to work primarily with children and adolescents in a variety of settings including inpatient (acute and residential) outpatient, and school-based settings. When working with teens and kids it is imperative to work with the families and I never lost my heart for working with adults. I'm excited to be able to join the Global Therapy Family and meet all sorts of people.
